Salisbury resident Charles Wagner, 51, was arrested on Friday, June 17 in connection to a stabbing in Worcester County involving his victim, identified as Brian Wagner, 53, who police said is believed to be his cousin.
Maryland State Police troopers responded to TidalHealth Peninsula Regional hospital in Salisbury shortly after 9 p.m. on Thursday, June 16, where there was a report of a stabbing victim who had been dropped off there by a friend after an incident in Worcester County, investigators said.
Charles Wagner was identified as a suspect, and he was located at a Salisbury hotel and arrested without incident on Friday morning, according to police.
The incident came on the heels of a similar stabbing that left four injured at a Maryland mobile home park.
He was charged with first- and second-degree assault. He was processed at the Maryland State Police Berlin Barrack and transported to the Worcester County Jail.
No return court date has been announced.
